Auren products and services may involve the following types of data:
- Pet activity data — motion patterns, activity levels, and behavioral insights derived from on-device sensors
- Image & video capture — short interval clips captured when the device detects meaningful motion. Camera activity is hardware-visible through the device privacy LED
- Microphone-derived signals — ambient audio cues used for behavioral classification, not continuous recording
- Location data — GPS and Bluetooth positioning used for the 3-stage locator feature
- Device diagnostics — battery status, connectivity, and firmware health
- Cloud storage — media clips and activity reports synced to your Auren account for review and sharing
- Account & purchase data — name, email, payment information collected during checkout
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve Auren M1 features (life log, digital twin, locator)
- To process orders and provide customer support
- To send order updates, shipping notifications, and service announcements
- To improve product safety and reliability
Privacy LED Commitment
Auren M1 includes a hardware-level privacy LED that is physically unbypassable. This white LED blinks next to the lens whenever the camera is active. No software override exists. When the LED is off, the camera is not capturing.
Preorder & Subscription Transparency
The first Shopify checkout charges the hardware preorder only. Basic Cloud and Auren Care subscriptions are displayed as planned service tiers and are not billed automatically in this version. Future subscription billing will require explicit customer opt-in.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers — payment processors, shipping carriers, and cloud infrastructure
- Law enforcement — only when required by applicable law
